At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs!

We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

The Rockstar Service campaign is the latest creative expression of this belief. With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

When you consider your dream holidays, surely you’re not different from the biggest percentage of the population, and you’re thinking of a beautiful sunny beach with warm water right by. But what are the best travel destinations?

This is a question that no travel agent likes to answer, or at least will answer in a sort of a turn around way, saying that the best travel destination depends on timing and on the person themselves. However, there are some places that are commonly regarded as amazing travel destinations, very likely to have dream holiday status.

Thailand is one of them. Choosing to spend some Thailand holidays is bound to leave you begging for more. From amazing beaches to deserted stretches of sand and beautiful ocean, tapped with amazing scenery and a vivid atmosphere make it one of the finest travel destinations in the world.

Another amazing travel destination is Greece. The Greek islands are a place of beauty and mystery where the old meets the new as amazing ancient historical sites intertwine with amazing beaches with the calm and warm water of the Mediterranean right at hand.

And let’s not forget the paradise that is Hawaii, complete with every modern commodity you may imagine.

A tour around the Greek Islands can be a welcome holiday adventure for anyone. Composed of nearly six thousand islands, you will have plenty to see on your journey. Picking your route, and deciding where to stop will be your only worries. Whether you’re a well seasoned traveler, or looking for a good introduction to the Mediterranean, Greek Islands holidays won’t disappoint.

Because there are so many Greek islands, they are divided up into groups by region. The Cyclades, for example, are located just off the shore of mainland Greece, and include the popular islands of Mykonos, Santorini, Andros, and Ios. These islands are popular tourist destinations, from the beauty of Santorini, to the offbeat atmosphere of Mykonos. Also known for their wine, culture and cuisine, which is very familiar to the Greek people. You can socialize in one of many tourist hot spots, enjoy the comfort of a luxury hotel, and even do some shopping on any one of these islands. The most iconic beauty of all the Greek Islands can be found in Santorini, with clear blue waters and white washed structures.

Many boat tours can be custom tailored to your own itinerary. There are plenty of private boats that can escort you through out the picturesque Mediterranean waters. Decide on which islands you’d like to see, and see them all with a tour around the Greek Islands. From budget holiday goes, to 5 star holidays, you can enjoy the beauty of Greece’s Mediterranean gems for yourself.

Small boat tours are also much more practical than large cruise liners. Docking for on shore excursions are quick, and easy with a small boat. You can shop on Mykonos, and relax in a hotel on Santorini with no problems. Get the most out of your holiday time and see everything you’d like to see on your next vacation. You can get a little bit of every world, with Greece’s many, and diverse islands. Families can enjoy plenty of modern attractions for both themselves, and their kids. Couples can have a romantic getaway on a secluded island with plenty of privacy. Newlyweds can have a luxurious vacation in a resort. Friends can enjoy the nightlife, tavernas, and cafes that these islands have to offer. Everyone can find something in the Greek Islands. Book a tour around a select few, and you can see their beauty first hand for yourself. Experience the best of the Mediterranean, and see it all on your next holiday.

You have your summer trip to Cyprus all booked and now you are looking to see what there is to do once you get there. The Gold Palm Resort in Ayia Napa has a Padi 5 star dive company called Olympian Divers Ltd. They invite divers and non-divers to come experience the delights that are underwater. This island offers many unique inhabitants that you can see in their unspoiled landscapes. Be brave and give scuba diving a try so that you too can swim among the friendly marine life in the warm, crystal waters of Cyprus.

If scuba is not your thing, then how about a Dolphin Boat Safari during your Ayia Napa holidays. This tour allows you to see plenty of sights along the coast and even if you don’t see dolphins, you are certain to have a whale of a good time. This is a group tour and rates 4 1/2 stars our of 5. Water sports seems to be a big draw for this island so you know there has to be a water park. This water park is for both kids and adults. Some guest have been known to call the slides a bit tame, but there are still enough thrills to keep everyone happy. These are just a few of the many attractions that are waiting for you in Ayia Napa on the island of Cyprus.

Taking a trip to Vienna is possibly the ultimate high for an architecture aficionado, especially one that enjoys Romantic architecture. This sort of architectural tourism has been on the rise since low-cost flights to Vienna International airport became available.

In a city where even the most practical of installations, like bathrooms for example, were made with the utmost care, it’s no wonder that the National Opera is, first of all, a beautiful building. Its construction, designed by architects August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll, began in 1861 and was completed in 1869. It houses an opera company that shares its name and is considered one of the World’s best opera houses, in terms of beauty, acoustics and quality of plays. It was home to great opera singers and conductors, including the World famous Gustav Mahler.

Although it’s not the most beloved building by the locals, the Opera House is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city center. Located in the town’s most important historical street, Ringstrasse, its illustrious neighbors include the City Hall, the Parliament building and the University. Even if you don’t enjoy Opera, be sure to snap a few pictures of this beautiful building.

Long were the days when if you lived in the capital of Northern Ireland you would have to take lengthy and exhausting transfer flights – often through not-so-convenient airports, far away from anything interesting. With the growth, both economical and demographical, of the town of Belfast and with the grand improvements to its airport, flights from Belfast to worthwhile locations have increased. Plus, airliners and airports all over Europe now take pride in having flights to Belfast International Airport.

Spain’s “Costa del Sol” (Sunny Coast)’s busiest airport is one of the most sought after travel destinations to and from Belfast. A trip between Belfast and Malaga, or the other way around, is like a trip between two different worlds. On the one side, you have a green capital on the Emerald Isle, full of life and energy just like any other major city, but still very much in touch with its Irish party-going and nature-loving side. On the other side, you have a relaxed town bathed by the warm Mediterranean sea, where the beat of the soft Spanish music is coupled with soothing winds and the rhythm of the waves. These two cities are now conjoined by and airplane route that’ll bring them closer than ever.

With its rugged coastline and granite heart, the West Country offers visitors a myriad of climbing opportunities to suit all abilities. The real challenge though lies in deciding where exactly to start, so where better to base yourself than a traditional Devon or Cornwall cottages . From your cosy retreat you are then free to explore what the West Country is most famous for – striking natural beauty with climbing potential jagging out from all directions.

Starting in Devon it is impossible not to divert your attention immediately towards Dartmoor National Park, renowned for its iconic granite tors and windswept baron landscape. The obvious choice is to head towards Hay Tor, which acts as a magnet to those looking to test out their moorland climbing skills. You certainly won’t be short of company here, and there are sections which are accessable without any climbing equipment, so suitable for all levels and ages. Away from the crowds there are around 7,000 hectares of climbing and bouldering opportunities across Dartmoor, suitable for both groups and individuals. Places of particular interest include Hound Tor and Dewerstone, but there are so many places just waiting to be discovered that you are often best speaking to the locals for their personal recommendations.

On the edge of Dartmoor you will find Chudleigh Rock, offering North and South limestone climbs of all standards. Set in 10 acres of unique grounds there is also the opportunity to explore caves, abseil and take tree top adventures.

Moving towards the South Coast you will be confronted with an assortment of climbing challenges – this is where you will find the English Riviera, which has received international recognition for its rich geological heritage. Around Torquay there are popular climbing venues along the stretch of coastline between Meadfoot and Babbacombe, offering you the challenge of scaling the red sandstone cliffs with the sea lapping away below.

With all that sea air then what better place to end your exhilarating day than retiring to a fishermans cottage, dotted throughout picturesque Brixham? They will certainly bring you back to earth with their unique charm and character.

Away from Devon and you enter the neighbouring county of Cornwall, a veritable goldmine of granite routes and crags covering almost 300 miles of stunning coastline. From Lands End, the Lizard and Sennen along the North and South East coastline there are so many climbing locations that this region is often regarded as one of the top climbing destinations in the UK by visitors and locals alike.

The number of climbing spots on offer is matched by the range of high quality self-catering properties spread throughout Cornwall. Many places are located on rugged cliff tops and provide the perfect location for inspiration and plotting your next adventure.

Travel inland and there is the opportunity to climb independently or take an instructed course on Bodmin Moor. One of the most popular spots here is the granite quarry at Cheesewiring although other favoured spots include Kilmar Tor, Bearah Tor, Trewortha Tor and Hawk’s Tor.

With the West Country surrounded by the finest waters and award winning beaches it would be rude not to take full advantage of them. If you are looking for action packed family fun then coasteering comes highly recommended. Combining climbing, swimming, traversing and scrambling there is the opportunity to dive off those rocks into the deep blue below. This is a great alternative for those in need of an adrenalin rush and can be carried out just about anywhere along the coastline.

Wherever you decide to visit you will be sure of a warm welcome and there is no better way to get up close, literally, with all the beauty that the West Country has to offer. Picture yourself surrounded by friends or family in your holiday cottage recounting tales of climbing adventures whilst looking out on nature at its most spectacular. You will soon become as hooked as your carabiner!
