Anyone who is a scuba diver or loves to snorkel, has had up-close experience with the many fish and creatures in our oceans.  These people will travel to all corners of the planet to view the endemic creatures that are not found anywhere else.   All around the world anyone is able to put on a mask and snorkel and take a look at the life that is below the surface.

If snorkeling is not enough and you want to go deeper and stay for hours, then you will sign up for scuba lessons and this is when you might just get interested in conservation efforts that are already taking place.   We have many marine species that are endangered or becoming endangered and one in particular is the Giant Octopus.

This harmless interesting creature is the favorite of many scuba divers and they are happy to see them in public aquariums where an octopus can be on loans and placed in habitats to give this species a fighting chance at getting off that endangered list. Other endangered oceanic species are the Sailfish, Swordfish, Bluefin Tuna, the Seahorse, Chilean Sea Bass and the black, white and blue Marlins. This is where scuba divers go for the best island diving and snorkelers, big game fishers and those who love to sail will call these islands paradise. The Maldives, one of the top travel destinations of 2011, will certainly remain on top for 2012 as well.   We choose our travel plans around what we want to see, experience, taste, marvel at and tell others about when we get home.

Many people don’t look forward to the flight that is needed to get them from one place to another.  They dread going through security, the snoring passenger in the next seat and the baby crying two rows back.  These are just part of flying and everyone encounters these aspects but that should not mean your flight is awful.  You can do things to make your flight an enjoyable part of your trip.

Dressing comfortably is very important.  When you will be sitting for hours, you want to be wearing clothes that are soft, warm and don’t bind.  Ladies can wear dresses that are not form-fitting and don’t have a zipper down the back which can even keep her from sleeping.  The right shoes too can make all the difference so choosing to wear slip-on shoes and not stilettos will also add comfort and get your through the security check faster as well.

Blocking out any crying baby is done with headphones not earplugs and a travel pillow works so much better than those the airline offers.  These are just a few ways to create a flight that is more enjoyable, more relaxing you arrive at your destination rested in a good mood.
